Erik Lin-Greenberg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he is a member of the MIT Security Studies Program (SSP) and co-directs the SSP Wargaming Lab.
Erik's research examines how emerging military technology affects conflict dynamics and the use of force. He is the author of The Remote Revolution: Drones and Modern Statecraft, which studies how remote warfighting is reshaping international politics.
His other work has appeared in academic and policy outlets including Journal of Politics, International Studies Quarterly, European Journal of International Relations, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Security Studies, Journal of Experimental Political Science, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, and The Washington Post.
Erik received his PhD in Political Science at Columbia University and an M.S. and B.S. in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Before entering academia, he served as an active duty officer in the United States Air Force.
