Rob Myers

Rob Myers discovered his fondness for programming as a teenager, while using his father’s portable terminal to study and modify mainframe computer games. His software development career began in 1986 as an intern in Phoenix before graduating from Northern Arizona University with a degree in computer science and engineering. He encountered Extreme Programming (XP) in 1998 and credits that event with rescuing his career from the typical product-development challenges of the day. In 2002, Rob began training and mentoring organizations in XP, TDD, and other modern development practices. He started his own training company, Agile Institute, in 2008, and has enjoyed teaching his fun, immersive, and extra-nerdy courses to hundreds of developers ever since, including his flagship course, Essential Test- Driven Development, which formed the basis for his book.
