The author lives in the Upper Midwest with their wife, three children, a dog, and a bird. They have worked in public safety since 2002, When they are not working or writing, they enjoy being outdoors; hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, kayaking, and golfing whenever time allows.
Their interest in writing began with a creative writing class during their sophomore year of college. After more than twenty years in public safey, they are using fictional characters to describe the struggle many first responders have with processing the trauma and grief they witness. Drawing from real-world experience and a strong sense of place, they now focus on creating stories that feel grounded, authentic, and meaningful.
