A.M. Wanders, creator of The WanderPigs, is a storyteller, traveler, and lifelong believer in the transformative power of imagination.

Guided by the creative legacy of Jim Henson, Wanders crafts lyrical adventures where friendship, curiosity, and kindness reveal worlds hidden just beyond ordinary sight.

She holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas, blending a love of learning with a deep reverence for the natural world.

Originally from the vibrant landscapes of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Wanders now makes her home in Argyle, Texas, with her husband, two children, and a spirited Siberian Husky. When she is not writing or exploring, she serves as an Assistant Principal and the Dean of Fine Arts at Coppell High School, in Coppell Texas where she continues to inspire creativity and discovery in others.

Every journey she undertakes—whether across continents or through the imagination—is fueled by her enduring belief, echoing Henson’s own vision, that there is always more to discover when you dare to imagine.
