Avery Lane Maxwell

Avery Lane Maxwell is a writer and innkeeper in Frisco, Colorado, where he keeps a small bed and breakfast on Galena Street with his partner in the work. His novels are written in the building they describe: early mornings at the front desk, between arrivals, in the off-season quiet of a mountain town at nine thousand feet.

His debut, Still, by Design., is the atmosphere. Its companion, Good Little Innkeeper, forthcoming from Galena House, is the reckoning. Both are built on a single conviction: the way something is built is the way it is felt.

Guests at the inn sometimes find the books on the shelf, unannounced. That is the preferred method of discovery.
