Tāne Hunter is a cancer researcher turned data scientist, futurist, and science storyteller on a mission to make the future more human. As the co-founder of Future Crunch, he’s spent the past decade inspiring audiences around the world to see possibility instead of paralysis — helping leaders and organizations upgrade their thinking for an age of artificial intelligence, automation, clean energy, biotechnology and accelerating change.
Before founding Future Crunch, Tāne worked in cancer genomics and bioinformatics, decoding the hidden patterns of life in DNA. His scientific roots inform everything he does, blending hard data with intelligent optimism to show how humans can thrive alongside technology, not be replaced by it.
When a cycling accident ended his early career as a professional mountain biker, Tāne shifted gears from racing trails to racing toward the future. Today, he speaks and writes about adaptability, intelligent optimism, and the science of being human in a world ruled by technology. His work has reached millions, from global conferences to Fortune 500 boardrooms, and now through his debut book, Full Stack Human — a manifesto for staying curious, creative, and courageous in the face of exponential change.
Tāne holds a Master’s in Bioinformatics, and his research has explored molecular biomarkers, disease progression, and the intersections of genetics and computation. He lives in Melbourne, Australia, where he’s usually reading science papers, surfing the chaos of the internet, or making data look sexy.
