Fred Neis infuses his business and clinical know-how into practical solutions. With almost three decades of experience in healthcare operations, he has held leadership positions in health systems, academic medical centers, and children’s hospitals. In the corporate sector, he’s been an executive with a value-based care payer, a consulting firm, and several technology companies—all while continuing to serve as a part-time firefighter/medic. He serves on several association and corporate boards and is active with two professional organizations. His numerous publications include contributions to the National Academy of Medicine (formerly IOM), a leadership book on management and health system operations, and a nurse manager guide. He’s been an invited guest on podcasts focusing on leadership, healthcare, and technology. Previously, he was honored to be a section editor on patient/consumer advocacy for a healthcare leadership book. Fred also works as a consultant, workshop facilitator, journal peer reviewer, and conference speaker.
