Candida Beveridge is an award‑winning journalist and documentary filmmaker who trained at the BBC in investigative journalism and directing. She has produced and directed across the globe — from the jungles of Borneo and mountains of Bhutan to immersive shoots in Bangladesh and the Philippines.
Her credits span documentary, factual and reality genres, appearing on platforms such as Netflix, National Geographic, Discovery, Apple TV+, Canal +, BBC TV & Radio, Channel 4, ITV, TVNZ, Prime (New Zealand), Neon (NZ), The Guardian and The Daily Mail.
Her recent work includes the award‑winning series Down for Love which reached #4 on Netflix UK’s most‑watched list, and a four‑part true‑crime documentary series for Canal + & Discovery (nominated for multiple awards). Whether in remote field shoots or studio edit‑rooms, Candida navigates complex narratives, leads production teams and delivers storytelling that matters.
The author is a revenge fantasist. He writes all kinds of stuff from screenplays and essays to the things you think but will never do. He holds a BA in philosophy, an MA in Creative Writing and masquerades as a builder. He splits his time between homes in Auckland and London travelling extensively in between.
