Mariane Brandão is a Brazilian American author whose life has been shaped by the beauty of multilingual and multicultural experiences. Born in the United States to Brazilian parents, she was raised speaking Portuguese at home and grew up surrounded by the warmth and joy of Brazilian culture. Her love for languages expanded even further when she lived in Venezuela for some time, where she learned Spanish and immersed herself in the local community.
Now living in Canada with her husband and toddler, Mariane found new inspiration in motherhood. While raising her daughter, she realized how powerful early language exposure can be in creating connection, confidence, and cultural pride. This sparked the idea for her bilingual children’s books — stories designed to help little learners grow up embracing more than one language, just as she did.
Before becoming an author, Mariane spent almost two decades building a career in supply chain. Today, she has chosen a new chapter: staying home to raise her daughter while creating books that bring families closer through language, learning, and imagination. Her work celebrates heritage, diversity, and the joy of raising multilingual children.
