Kris Vierra

Kris Vierra has been passionate about quilting and sewing for over 40 years, turning that love into a professional longarm quilting career more than a decade ago. Along the way, she has shared her expertise at national shows and guilds across the country, inspiring quilters of all levels to grow their skills and enjoy the process.

Her award-winning quilting has been recognized on some of the biggest stages in the quilting world, including Best Longarm Quilting at AQS Paducah (2018), Phoenix (2016), and Des Moines (2016), as well as the prestigious PFAFF Master Award for Machine Artistry at the Houston International Quilt Festival in 2015.

In her classes, Kris encourages quilters to step out of their comfort zones while keeping quilting fun and stress-free. Whether she’s teaching appliqué, piecing, free-motion techniques, or guiding others on how to start and grow a successful longarm business, her goal is always the same: to make quilting approachable, creative, and deeply rewarding.

Kris created The Stress Free Quilting® series to take the pressure off of sewing and put the joy back into quilting. Over the years, she's met so many quilters who are overwhelmed by perfectionism, convinced there’s only one “right” way to do things, and worried that every crooked seam, or skipped stitch, is a personal failure. It’s not.

This series is all about helping you rediscover why you fell in love with quilting in the first place; by making space for creativity, learning, and self-care without the stress. It’s about growing your skills and enjoying the process, not chasing perfection.
