Deborah McVay-Williams

Deborah McVay Williams, formerly McKinney, was voted first by readers in the 10th Annual Akron Life Best of the City awards as Best Author and Best Entrepreneur for her company, Time to Spare, LLC, a corporate and non-profit event planning and management service.

Her work has been featured in Currents of Cleveland's Celebrating Women, twice as a SHEro during the Women's Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation for making a difference in the lives of others, named a hidden gem by Voyage Ohio magazine, and by Bold Journey magazine as positive and uplifting. Her books have received positive reviews from readers, magazines, and newspapers throughout the United States and abroad. Debbie recently received the Change Maker award from Love Akron for her work in making a positive difference in her community.

She has served in leadership roles with many local organizations, is a graduate of Leadership Akron NEXT, and been a member of various community and church boards.
