A.E. (Alan) Creach believes that faith is meant to be lived, not simply studied. His writing encourages believers to understand God’s Word, grow in their relationship with Jesus, and put their faith into practice in everyday life. His teaching is grounded in Scripture but shaped by decades of ministry experience, giving his books a practical, honest, and encouraging approach to Christian discipleship.
Alan is an ordained church elder, Bible teacher, author, and currently serves as Lead Pastor in St. Maries, Idaho. He and his wife, Cathy, recently purchased a home in St. Maries so they can be active members of the local community while continuing to reside part-time in Spokane Valley, Washington.
Alan met Cathy while attending Oklahoma Baptist University, where he earned a B.A. in Business Administration. Since moving to the Spokane area in 1984, they have faithfully served in a wide range of ministries throughout the Pacific Northwest, working with children, youth, families, and adults.
For more than fifteen years, Alan’s ministry has focused on church regrowth and revitalization, particularly in rural and outlying communities. He also hosts and organizes men’s and youth camps on his river property along the Coeur d’Alene River, providing opportunities for fellowship, discipleship, and spiritual growth in the beauty of God’s creation.
In addition to pastoral ministry and teaching, Alan has written Christian teaching curricula and several books on discipleship. He also hosts the weekly radio program Walking with Jesus in the 21st Century, which airs throughout Eastern Washington, Eastern Oregon, North Idaho, and Western Montana.
Outside of ministry and writing, Alan and Cathy operate a family-owned commercial greenhouse and nursery in Spokane Valley. They are the proud parents of five adult children and grandparents to three. They enjoy camping, exploring Idaho’s scenic Silver Valley, and spending time together with family.
