Trevor Veltkamp

Trevor Veltkamp is a father, husband, writer and explorer of both the inner life and the outer world. A weekly contributor to The Institute of Christian Spirituality Substack, he weaves together theology, philosophy, and lived experience with a voice that is sometimes thoughtful and often disarmingly honest.

Trevor has been married for twenty-five years to his wife, Jody—a neuropsychologist whose keen insight into the human condition keeps his reflections grounded and occasionally rescues him from trouble. They are both unfortunate members of the "Parents who lost a child" club. When he’s not writing or reflecting, you can usually find him working, hiking, golfing, skiing, traveling, enjoying his extended family, or, more accurately, doing what his wife wants him to do.

He and Jody have raised three wonderfully strong-willed children, two of whom are now thriving in college, leaving Trevor at the mercy of his own inner monologue. The Revelation of Jude is his debut memoir.
