Colin Isard

Colin Isard is an author and academic whose work explores the intersection of factual integrity and fictional narrative. Educated at Middlesex and Oxford Universities, and at the Institute of Education, University of London, his multidisciplinary background includes five Master’s degrees and a PGCE in Further Education.

His writing seeks to inform and challenge while offering space for reflection, drawing on the psychology of behaviour to explore the forces that shape everyday life. Through this perspective, he bridges rigorous research with narrative storytelling.

By combining intellectual depth with stylistic clarity, he distils complex ideas into prose that is both accessible and compelling. This approach allows him to move between non-fiction research—such as ‘Mild Traumatic Brain Injury’ and ‘Paranormally Spooked’—and speculative or narrative-driven fiction.

His fiction includes ‘Q-Day: Evolution or Annihilation’ and the Hammond & Raven detective series, featuring ‘A Reflection to Death’, ‘The Quantum Sword’, and the forthcoming ‘The Entanglement Protocol’.
