​Based in the United Kingdom, Stuart is a professional engineer who swapped blueprints for book outlines. While his career is built on logic and structural integrity, his heart has always belonged to the art of storytelling. This unique duality allows him to craft historical romances with meticulous period detail and children’s stories that capture the boundless, structured wonder of a child’s mind.

​Perhaps his greatest credential, however, is his role as a father to ten children. Living in the beautiful (and never quiet!) English countryside with his wife, his home is a constant source of inspiration, laughter, and high-stakes "research" for his children’s fiction.

​Whether he is whisking readers away to the Regency era or spinning a whimsical tale for the little ones, Stuart writes to find the magic in the machinery of life. When he isn’t at his drafting table or his keyboard, he can usually be found attempting to organize a 12-person household—a feat of engineering more complex than any bridge or building.
