Samuel Mormando

Dr. Samuel Mormando is the Director of Technology, Innovation, and Online Learning for the Garnet Valley School District in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, where he leads districtwide efforts to integrate artificial intelligence, elevate instructional design, and strengthen digital learning practices. He is also the founder of Edvative Learning, an award-winning nonprofit organization dedicated to helping educators build AI literacy and confidence through community, coaching, and practical professional learning.

Recognized nationally as a thought leader in AI in education, Dr. Mormando serves on the K–12 AI Advisory Boards for OpenAI and Harrisburg University and contributes to the Pennsylvania Department of Education's Bureau of School Leadership and Teacher Quality. In these roles, he supports the development of statewide AI endorsement programs and guidelines that prepare educators for the future of teaching and learning.

Dr. Mormando is an accomplished author whose first book, Effectively Designed Instruction, became an Amazon #1 New Release. His second work, Navigating the AI Revolution in Our Schools, provides educators with practical strategies for ethical, responsible, and student-centered AI integration. And his most recent work, Shift the Entry Point, shows teachers and school leaders how to redesign teaching and learning for the age of AI without losing the human core of the profession.
