David L Hoshour

David L Hoshour is the author of the Equipping Insights series of Bible study guides/commentaries. He is a graduate of Southern Evangelical Seminary with a degree in Christian Apologetics and is a long-time teacher and council member at Central Church in Charlotte, NC.

David made a decision to follow Christ in high school. He had been raised in liberal churches that failed to spark any spiritual interest and had quit attending church until being invited to attend a revival service where he heard the gospel for the first time.

Immediately after his decision, he was challenged on the reliability of the Bible as inerrant and even as an accurate record. That set him on a lifelong course of study, asking hard questions and studying to find answers to Bible difficulties. Gifted with great curiosity, a love for learning, and analytical ability, pursuing the truth became a passion that has not wavered.

He married his college sweetheart and after more than fifty years together they have four children and twelve grandchildren, nearly all of whom serve the Lord wholeheartedly.

In 1993 the couple started attending Central Church in Charlotte, NC. David was soon teaching adult classes on the Bible, apologetics, marriage, and current issues. He was asked to serve on the Pastor's Council and has served for about thirty years.

He is an investment fiduciary and investment manager with no plans to retire and he plans to keep writing. He has traveled in 47 states and 25 countries and has lectured on the historic Christian faith in churches, colleges, and public seminars, both in the U.S. and overseas.

He enjoys family, travel, woodworking, hiking, and hunting. In addition to Christian books, he has written numerous articles on western big game hunting and is a co-creator of the Eastmans' TagHub online research tool.
