Kendra Calhoun

Kendra Calhoun (Ph.D) is a linguistic anthropologist and sociolinguist whose work critically analyzes the relationship between language, identity, culture, media, and institutions. Her research centers Black individuals and communities in the U.S. to explore race, gender, humor, social media discourse, and institutional discourses in higher education.
