Robert K. Bateman is an Australian author, educator, counsellor and mentor with more than forty years of experience working with children and adults in schools and communities across South Australia.
Throughout his career, Robert has been passionate about education, personal development, relationships and helping people make positive choices in their lives. His work draws on approaches including Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and Rational Emotive Therapy, as well as decades of study, teaching and counselling experience.
His book Help Yourself to Happiness brings together practical insights and strategies developed throughout his professional life, exploring rational thinking, personal responsibility, relationships and the pursuit of a happier and more meaningful life.
Robert is also the compiler and editor of Billi, the memoir of his mother, Alma “Billi” Giampaoli. By preserving her remarkable life story, he has helped ensure that her experiences, resilience and strength can continue to inspire future generations.
Through his writing, Robert hopes to share the lessons he has gained from a lifetime of teaching, counselling, family experiences and personal reflection, encouraging readers to think honestly, make better choices and live more fulfilling lives.
