Hello! I am James Shaffer and I am the author of, wait for it! " Freedom ay Missionary Ridge". Born in a small town south of Chicago Illinois raised in a small town in Indiana, so I'm a hick town boy with big city dreams! I grew up in an age where Westerns and Cop movies were the thing. Ask a little boy what he wanted to be back then and he would say? Yep policemen, firemen are cowboy, sometimes monkey, but who are we to judge. Writing a Western for me is no more out of the norm then any other writer, but my story telling involves years of research and interviews of closest scientific authorities & nearest relatives if available. They happened to be for this tale, but I warn you. It is still a fictional tale. Oh man! running home to catch Rowdy Yates and Lil John and them on TV. Going out to play and my boys already had a plot going to rob a train! Lol, memories right? I hope you guys enjoy the book, I truly wrote it in a way to be memorable.
