Catherine Coates

Catherine Coates is the author of Longing for Intimacy: Glimmers of Hope. She started publishing her writing after retiring from working for a salary.

Catherine has consistently worked as a writer since 2022. Her second publication is a set of inspirational cards, Musings on Grace.

Catherine has three offerings to be available in 2026. Like as a Hart: Poems of Longing which continues the themes found in Longing for Intimacy. The novelette, “Rhia’s Choice, A Romance.” “Conversations in an Olive Grove: Conversations with Jesus” is a short story about just that, conversations with Jesus.

Catherine is an ordained interspiritual minister and trained spiritual counselor. She is a current member of the writers’ consortium, A Writing Room, where she receives immense support for her writing.

Catherine lives in Fairport, NY with her husband, Steve Martin; their daughter, Carys Coates Martin; and a pomapoo pup, Gala.
