Marianne Perry

Marianne Perry's first novel, The Inheritance, is a historical fiction set in Calabria, an impoverished region in southern Italy, during the early 1900s. Caterina, the protagonist, is a young woman caught up in a rigid class system, superstitious beliefs, a family disintegrating from conflicting loyalties, and a forbidden love. How will she survive? Marianne's second novel, The Chase is a contemporary mystery that twists and turns throughout North America, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, and South America. Were Anna’s nightmares a sign that she had inherited her mother’s disintegrating mind, or was something sinister afoot? Such is the core conflict confronting the protagonist. A story about deceit, treachery, and dangerous family secrets, what will Anna sacrifice to keep her loved ones safe? Marianne resides in Northern Ontario, Canada. Her writing is inspired by genealogical research to solve mysteries related to her Italian ancestry. Her non-fiction articles have been published by North American genealogical magazines. A world traveller, Marianne has explored all seven continents.
