Dawn Williams believes that life is full of unexpected adventures -- and that every adventure is an opportunity to learn a lesson of the heart. A retired veterinary technician and a proud grandmother of thirteen, Dawn has spent her life caring for others, a passion that shines through in her writing for children.

Dawn is the creator of The Adventures T-Rex series, featuring her real-life, fun-loving French Bulldog. Her stories are designed to help children navigate big feelings and challenging life situations with courage and a sense of humor.

* Supporting Foster Families: Her debut book, The Adventures of T-Rex: A Family of His Own, was written to provide comfort and relatability for children in foster care environments.

* The Power of Empathy: In the second book, Heart of the Concrete Jungle, T-Rex visits a hospital setting. Inspired by the time Dawn's husband spent receiving a life-saving transplant, the story focuses on how a simple smile, and a bit of laughter can be the best medicine for those who are hurting.

When she isn't writing, Dawn is a devoted caretaker to her personal pack of nine dogs, including seven French Bulldogs and two special senior dogs, as well as her chickens, quail, and cat. Through T-Rex's eyes, she hopes to show young readers that no matter where they are or what they are facing, they have the power to bring joy to those around them.
