As a mum of two spirited boys and a lifelong artist and graphic designer, Julia Nova never planned to become a maths cheerleader – until times‑tables tears hit the kitchen table. Between pencils, biscuit crumbs and cries of “Muuuum, I can’t do this!”, she realised there had to be a more joyful way to learn. Drawing on years of visual storytelling, she began turning numbers into pictures, characters, colours and silly stories that finally made multiplication click. Her mission is simple: to swap stress for giggles and help children build unshakable confidence in maths through playful, right‑brain learning. When she isn’t doodling new brain‑friendly tricks, you’ll find her painting in her studio, exploring new places with her boys or dreaming up the next colourful learning adventure.
