Dr. Robert H. Buckham Ph.D

Robert H. Buckham, Ph.D., M.B.A. is emeritus Assistant Professor of Business Management at Whitworth University. During his over 15-years there, Dr. Buckham taught in both the undergraduate business program and the M.B.A. program. He was recognized by both faculty and staff for his exceptional teaching abilities, leadership, and scholarship. Dr. Buckham has over 40-years business experience, holding a variety of staff, management, and executive positions in mining and retail companies. As a scholar his research interests primarily focused on the role of hope in the workplace, resulting in several widely recognized articles in prestigious domestic and international academic journals. Dr. Buckham lives in North Idaho, is an avid flyfisher, enjoys competitive shooting sports, skiing, being with family and friends, and other outdoor activities. He and his wife Sara have been married for over 52 years, have traveled extensively in the U.S. and abroad.
