Jacquelyn Johnson writes emotional, character-driven women’s fiction about mothers, daughters, sisters, families and the complicated business of belonging.

A former journalist, editor and journalism teacher, she is fascinated by ordinary lives and the small moments that turn out to be everything but ordinary. Her characters live, work, fall in love, make mistakes and make the best of what they’ve been given, or discover they can strive for.

She lives and writes in Atlantic Canada.
