Dylan Blake Shields

Dylan Shields is a U.S. Army veteran, author, safety and risk management professional, and advocate for the veteran community. His experiences in military service, overseas deployments, leadership, and life after service have shaped a writing style grounded in resilience, accountability, purpose, and the realities of overcoming adversity.

Beyond writing, Dylan has built a career leading safety and risk management efforts on complex projects across the United States. He is also involved in veteran advocacy through the Valor Forge Project, a nonprofit organization focused on helping veterans and their families access meaningful support and resources.

Dylan holds multiple undergraduate degrees and is completing his MBA at Georgia Southern University. Above all, he is a husband and father who believes that some of life’s hardest experiences can become the foundation for helping someone else move forward.

His work draws from real-world experience, service, leadership, failure, growth, and the belief that your past does not have to determine what you build next.
