David E. Mawer

David E. Mawer was born in northern England in 1965. 

At various points in his life - sometimes simultaneously, sometimes in a bewildering sequence - he has been a civil engineer, an amateur historian, a wargamer creating tiny battles, a keen motorcyclist dodging Lincolnshire potholes or seeking out African wildernesses, and now - against all odds - an amateur author.

An account of a wartime Free French military expedition into Libya in 1941 inspired his first novel of his NO8DO trilogy.

David currently resides near Bordeaux, France.
