Gary Capuano

Gary Capuano is a lifelong resident of South Philadelphia and a retired veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department. He served nearly 25 years in the force,  beginning in uniform patrol and later working in plainclothes assignments. Throughout his career,  he was assigned the 3rd District, 4th District, and the Southwest Detectives Fugitive Division,  where he led the Southwest Detectives Fugitive Task Force for six years.

During his service, Gary earned two promotions, first to detective and later to sergeant, and was appointed Officer in Charge of the Fugitive Task Force. His career with the Philadelphia Police Department spanned from 1997 to 2022.
