Daniel became a physician and a neurologist as part of his pursuit of the understanding of how the brain creates consciousness. As a post-doctoral neuroscientist at Harvard, he pioneered brain mapping techniques to enhance the precision of epilepsy and brain tumor surgeries. Realizing, however, that understanding consciousness solely through the study of the brain was elusive, Daniel shifted his focus to the understanding of consciousness from a combined neuroscientific and spiritual perspective. In his book Spiriduality: Spiritual Initiation for Rational People, he discusses whether the brain creates consciousness or consciousness creates the brain. The answer to this question is the ultimate frontier for mankind as we know it.
