Patrick Kalenzi

Patrick Kalenzi is a veterinarian, entrepreneur, speaker, and author whose life story spans continents, cultures, and extraordinary resilience. Born in rural Uganda and raised amid extreme poverty, Patrick’s early life was shaped by survival, sacrifice, and the unshakable belief, spoken into him by family, that education and perseverance could change his destiny.

After immigrating to the United States with little more than hope, Patrick worked multiple labor-intensive jobs while retraining and earning his veterinary credentials. Through determination and grit, he went on to build a successful veterinary practice and become a respected voice on resilience, immigrant success, and breaking generational poverty.

His memoir, Tears Run Dry, is a powerful and emotionally charged account of survival, trauma, and triumph, exploring themes of faith, family, identity, and the immigrant journey. The book has resonated with readers seeking inspiration, courage, and proof that one’s past does not define one’s future.

Tears Run Dry has also been adapted into a completed feature-length screenplay, developed for potential motion picture production. The project has generated early interest, including engagement from a major producer and investor exploring pathways for film adaptation.

Patrick is a TEDx speaker and frequently addresses audiences on transforming hardship into strategy, overcoming trauma, and unlocking the hidden strengths of newcomers and first-generation immigrants. When he is not writing or speaking, he continues to practice veterinary medicine and mentor aspiring professionals.

Patrick Kalenzi lives in the United States with his family and remains deeply committed to telling stories that inspire healing, courage, and possibility.
