Axel Vale

Axel Vale is a techno-mystic, independent digital philosopher, cultural theorist and author exploring what it means to be human in an age of intelligent machines.

His central body of work, THE CODEX, is a documented exploration of one human mind in sustained interaction with intelligent tools, recorded across two years of thinking, writing, arguing, creating, reflecting and changing as it happened.

Spanning fiction, philosophy, psychology, speculative science and lived experience, his CONTINUUM follows ideas as they move between forms, collide with life and return transformed. Across the work, Vale explores identity, empathy, cognition, creativity, grief, connection and the increasingly urgent question of what happens when the tools humanity has created become capable of reflecting us back to ourselves.

From this ongoing experiment emerged Neoauthorship, Vale's approach to creative practice in the age of intelligent tools. AI is neither concealed nor presented as the author. It forms part of the subject, environment and methodology of a process in which human intention, judgement, experience and responsibility remain central.

Vale's fiction, nonfiction, philosophy and digital work are not separate projects, but different expressions of the same continuing exploration: an attempt to render one human mind across forms and preserve the changes as they occur.

THE CODEX does not offer a prescription for how anyone else should live. It records one man's attempt to understand how he does, while asking three questions that increasingly belong to all of us:

What does it cost to be human in the modern world?

How do we navigate a future working alongside intelligent tools?

And how will we shape that future now that our tools can reflect us so clearly?

His authorship sits at the centre of a wider creative architecture, not simply as branding, but as proof of concept. He publishes through Neochic Gothic Press, an imprint of Neochic Digital Ltd, and is the creator of AuthorForge, a platform built from the principles of Neoauthorship. Together, his books, publishing work and technology form an interconnected creative ecosystem where storytelling, systems design and intelligent tools converge.
