Suzanne Codner

Suzanne Codner grew up with her nose buried in books, escaping into worlds crafted by Toni Morrison, Alice Walker, and Colleen McCullough. Every chance she got, there was a book in her hands. She always knew stories had the power to heal, connect, and transform—she just never imagined she'd be the one telling them.

As a homeschooling mom, Suzanne discovered that the hours spent teaching her children opened up a world of creativity she never knew she had. Between lesson plans and bedtime stories, the dream of writing her own novels took root and refused to let go.

Today, Suzanne writes historical fiction and contemporary romance that explores identity, family secrets, and the resilience of the human heart. She has a deep love for drama and fiction—the kind of stories that make you feel something real. Her debut novel, "Before We Were Silent," draws from little-known moments in American history to tell stories that have been waiting too long to be heard.

When she's not writing or teaching, Suzanne can be found exploring farmers markets, attempting (and often failing) new recipes in the kitchen, or planning her next adventure. She believes every person has a story worth telling and that books can change the world—one reader at a time.

Suzanne is currently at work on her next novel. She loves connecting with readers and fellow book lovers.
