I would first like to introduce myself. My name is Michael Lee Sink, I graduated from Forest High School in Ocala, Florida in 1987. Six days later, I was at Great Lakes Naval Recruit Training Command to attend Basic Training for my enlistment into the United States Navy, having followed the footsteps of my father and grandfather. I volunteered for submarine service, once I had graduated from Basic Training, I graduated Submarine School. I served on board a fast attack submarine as a Torpedoman’s Mate. Four years later, I was honorably discharged from military service and embarked on a career in the Construction Industry. For the past twenty years, I have been a Construction Estimator in the United States, Bermuda and United Kingdom. During this time, I earned a degree certificate in Ancient History and Archeology from the University of Leicester.
While in the United Kingdom, I had a vivid dream one night. Soon as I awoke, I rushed to paint the image that I had seen in my dream. This is when the idea came to me, I should write a fiction story based on the dream. To realize this, I took a sabbatical from the construction industry in 2021 and began to write. Since, that has led to a cascade of inspiration that crashed over me like a tidal wave. I now have (12) full length manuscripts, (3) Co-authored novellas, (1) Instructional manuscript and (1) Collection of two hundred poems completed.
So, why would an aspiring author have so many unpublished works?
In complete candor, over the past four years I have focused on feverishly pouring my ideas onto paper (well the digital version of). My thinking was, that the daunting process of publishing would stifle my creativity, so I have kept writing. I often pour a few thousand words out per day and at times, close to six thousand. Currently, I have two novels published; Corona of Timeİ and The Whisper and the Wolfİ as of January 19, 2026 on Amazon Kindleİ.
