Haley Ammann-Ekstrom

My name is Haley Ammann-Ekstrom, I am a sixth-generation cattle farmer in Minnesota

who is paving a path for females in agriculture. My family planted its roots 100 years ago on the

same land where my husband and I now live. When I was younger my parents had me involved

in 4-H, and from there my love for the cattle industry blossomed.

My family and I strive to raise a delicious, healthy beef product from gate to plate.

Others can be proud to feed their families a delicious protein around the dinner table.

When I am not working on the farm, I am busy being a strong agriculture advocate

inside classrooms. As well as, sharing my story on social media platforms to connect with

the next generation of agriculture enthusiasts across the country.

Which is why I also wanted to write a children’s book.

I have had a love for reading since I was a child, reading the Harry Potter series.

Even now, as an adult, I feel the same. I hope my book connects

with readers and gives them the drive to follow their own passions!
