Stan Block

Stan L. Block, M.D., FAAP, is among the nation’s most published general pediatricians, with more than 170 peer-reviewed landmark papers. Practicing full-time pediatrics for four decades in Bardstown, Kentucky, he was also director of Kentucky Pediatric and Adult Research for over 30 years. Using his own data or collaborating with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and leading pharmaceutical companies, he has helped advance modern vaccines and pediatric care.

Dr. Block earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.D. from the University of Kentucky (AOA), and completed his pediatric residency at Wake Forest University (placing in the top 1% of the pediatric board exam). He is a clinical professor of pediatrics at both the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky.
