John Matthews is a pastor, teacher, and writer who enjoys helping people discover biblical truth in the ordinary experiences of life.

For almost three decades, John has served in local church ministry and currently serves as a senior pastor in Mississippi. His writing grows out of the same place as his preaching and teaching—a desire to make biblical truth clear, practical, encouraging, and accessible.

His book, *My Shepherd*, offers simple devotional encouragement for everyday life, pointing readers again and again to the faithfulness, presence, and care of God.
