Stefano Centrone was born in Basel, Switzerland, on February 2, 1968, to a family of Apulian and Sardinian origins. After spending many years in Adelfia (Bari) with his grandparents, he settled in Reggio Emilia, where he has lived for over forty years with his family. He is married and has two children.
He began writing poetry and aphorisms in 1997, nurturing a passion for words as a tool for introspection and memory. After a period of occasional writing, in 2012 he published his first book, Let the Heart Speak. The following year, he contributed to the series Contemporary Poets (Edition No. 113) and released the poetry collection The Only Thing I Would Want, dedicated to his late father and published by Edith & Manhattan Edizioni in Reggio Emilia.
Over the years, Centrone has continued to write and publish, exploring themes related to spirituality, family, and memory. Lifelong Friends represents a new chapter in his narrative journey, where intimacy and remembrance intertwine with the search for meaning and belonging.
