JAS Author

JAS Author is the pen name of Australian writer Jenny Ann Smith.

Her work spans children’s stories, faith-inspired reflections, and practical books for everyday life, all shaped by a desire to encourage courage, kindness, clarity, and purposeful living.

Guided by Christian faith and a love of thoughtful storytelling, JAS creates books that nurture hearts and bring peace and meaning into daily life. Whether writing gentle, imaginative stories for children or developing reflective and practical projects for older readers, her work is grounded in hope, compassion, and the belief that small, intentional choices can lead to lasting change.

JAS is the creator of the Percy the Peacock Spider books, which invite young readers into colourful, gentle worlds where faith, empathy, and courage are quietly woven into nature-inspired stories and activities.

She continues to work on new creative and non-fiction projects exploring faith, reflection, order in the home, and Christian life in Australia.
