Amber Justis

Amber Justis is a children's book author who believes kindness, empathy, and belonging are skills worth teaching early. Inspired by real rescue dogs and the humans who love them, her stories center on compassion, understanding difference, and the quiet power of gentle hearts.

When she isn't writing, Amber can usually be found surrounded by animals on her small farm - beagles, cats, chickens, goats, and the occasional visiting deer. She lives in Oregon with her family and writes stories that help children feel seen, valued, and brave enough to be kind.
