Emily Frontain is an English specialist teaching in the UK, with over sixteen years of experience supporting secondary students across a wide range of school contexts. Her work has taken her into classrooms serving learners with diverse needs, and into curriculum and middle-leadership roles, including responsibility for multiple year groups.
She completed a national qualification in educational leadership focused on improving interventions for under-achieving students; this work was adopted at whole-school level and later shaped the training she provides to school leaders. For more than ten years, she has worked alongside new and early-career teachers, particularly in the areas of behaviour and classroom management, and has served as a lead subject specialist supporting trainee and newly qualified teachers.
A behaviour and intervention specialist with a particular interest in dialogic learning, she completed an MSc in Learning and Teaching at the University of Oxford in 2023, researching classroom dialogue, and also holds an advanced professional qualification in leading teaching. She founded Teacher Survival Skills to pass on what experience has taught her, and to help new teachers find their footing in the classroom.
