Ashish Bhatt

Ashish Bhatt is an Indian-Trinidadian-Canadian author and the creator of the Little Robot Bilingual Books—a growing collection of children’s books developed at the intersection of storytelling, language learning, and culture.

Born into an Indian family, Ashish’s parents immigrated to Trinidad and Tobago in the 1970s. Ashish later immigrated to Canada with his family in 2019. Having lived in many countries worldwide, he draws on these experiences to inform his creative work and global perspective.

The Little Robot project began as a personal journey with his daughter to introduce her to their family’s language in a fun and meaningful way, grounded in everyday curiosity. She is not only his inspiration but also his consultant on creative decisions.

The books are designed as bilingual stories that support language learning through engaging, culturally rich storytelling. While the series began with Hindi–English editions, many titles are being translated into additional languages, including French and Spanish, extending their reach to families and learners around the world.

Ashish is deeply grateful for the opportunity to blend storytelling, education, and family into a passion project that continues to grow—one story, one language, and one curious reader at a time.
