Lila Moonfern

I write stories about warmth, quiet magic, and the kind of places that feel like home long before you realize why.

I live in Vermont, where the forests run deep, the winters are long, and small towns still believe in slow mornings, shared tables, and the comfort of familiar lights in the distance. That sense of stillness and the quiet strength beneath it, is at the heart of everything I write.

My books, especially The Heartroot Chronicles, are about belonging, chosen family, and the gentle but powerful magic found in everyday care. I’m drawn to stories where nothing is loud, yet everything matters, staying takes courage, healing takes time, and hope is something we build together, one small choice at a time.

I believe comfort and growth can live side by side. That a warm cup, a listening ear, and a place that remembers you can change more than we think.

So if you enjoy soft worlds with real heart, quiet wonder, and stories that feel like coming home, pull up a chair. There’s always room at the table in Eldhollow.
