Kiersta Halseth

Kiersta Halseth is an American children’s author, publisher, and communications professional living in Germany’s Black Forest. Raised between California and Florida, she is a graduate of the University of Florida and brings more than 20 years of communications and marketing experience to her work.

After years spent living, traveling, and teaching abroad, Kiersta founded Nighttype Books to create thoughtfully designed stories that make bedtime reading more comfortable and meaningful for children and their families. She is the creator of the Lolli Stromboli & The Adventures of Mouse House series, inspired by bedtime reading with her daughter and a shared love of travel, curiosity, and imaginative adventure.

Her books feature gentle pacing, larger easy-to-read typography, uncluttered layouts, and reassuring endings designed to help the day wind down softly. When she is not writing, Kiersta is usually outdoors with her family or planning their next adventure.
