Wie Key

Wie Key began telling stories about dragons at the highly respectable age of three, to an audience of kindergarteners who may or may not have fully appreciated such literary masterpieces. After that early success, Wie took a long detour from writing fantasy, choosing instead the far more sensible pursuits of reading books, earning impressive-sounding degrees, starting a career, moving around the world, and conducting important research into cake consumption.

Eventually, the dragons staged a comeback. Deciding it was time to return to magical worlds, improbable creatures, and stories full of wonder, Wie began writing again—this time for readers who also enjoy getting lost in cozy, imaginative realms. There are currently no plans to stop, as the dragons remain demanding employers.

When not writing, Wie can usually be found reading fantasy, daydreaming about impossible worlds, or proving that even very serious scientists need whimsical stories now and then. If these books make readers smile, feel comforted, or briefly forget reality, then Wie considers the mission a complete success.
