Chris Stevens

Introduced to the outdoors while walking the woods with his father as a child, Chris Stevens developed a fascination with Florida's uniquely diverse natural landscapes over time. A regular volunteer for several outdoor organizations including the Florida Trail Association, Chris assists with outreach, advisory committees, trail maintenance, and media coordination. A deep admiration for Florida's ecology draws him to the state's natural areas, inspiring writings of advocacy and encouragement to explore more.

A freelance contributor to Florida Hikes! since 2020, Chris and his wife Chelsey co-host a podcast about Florida's outdoors called the Florida Madcaps. They share their family's outdoor adventures on social media as the Sunshine State Seekers.
