James D. Sutton

James D. Sutton is a novelist, nonfiction author, IT veteran, homesteader, and father. He writes across multiple genres, from fantasy and speculative fiction to history, mystery, mythology, and writing craft.

His fiction, published through RedBrick Publishing, draws on more than forty years of worldbuilding and explores original settings, forgotten histories, strange mysteries, and the enduring resilience of ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances.

His nonfiction, published through Erratic Publishing, focuses on history, unexplained mysteries, lost civilizations, mythology, and the evolving craft of AI-assisted writing and publishing. Much of his work reflects a lifelong fascination with how stories, myths, and ideas change as they pass through time.

When he is not writing, he can usually be found working in technology, developing projects for his Tennessee homestead, spending time with family, or attempting to convince several dogs that they are not in charge.
