Delano Brown

Jamaican-born Canadian author Delano Brown is a fresh face on the North American writing scene; his lyrically poetic style comes out in his debut picture book, titled My Neighborhood, coming this Fall. He is passionate about being an understanding voice to each child who wants to see a reflection of themselves on the pages of a book.

Working in the educational arena, Delano continues to pen many relatable fiction stories that explore student life and the joys, mistakes, and misunderstood moments of childhood. His current undertaking, titled School Up North, uses the power of words on a page to bring to life a voice that displays wit, zeal, and honesty.
