Tracey Foley

Tracey was born and lives in Yorkshire and has been writing for as long as she can remember, from home-made poetry books with pages tied together with wool, to school assembly plays. But it's only now that she has more time after raising her children, that she's finally found the genre she really loves.

Her first middle grade book, Flora Wild Foundling Child, was published in 2025, and her second, Alfie Pea Evacuee, in early 2026. She has also recently published her first 'first chapter book' The Dreamhouse and the Dinosaurs.

Though Tracey is keen not to put an upper age limit on her books, believing all adults would benefit from embracing the magic of reading books marketed for children.

As well as being a writer, Tracey is a keen genealogist, and you will often find her mooching around a graveyard somewhere, reading the headstones of ancestors long gone. She often finds inspiration for her writing during these adventures.
