Sr J. Castro

José Castro is a professional drone pilot, instructor, and founder of World Dron Academy, specializing in regulations, advanced operations, and professional UAS mission planning.

With more than a decade of experience in the drone industry, he has worked in audiovisual operations, technical inspections, pilot training, and operational coordination in complex environments, combining practical flight experience with an in-depth understanding of Spanish and European drone regulations.

Over the years, he has trained numerous drone operators and professionals, developing a methodology focused on real-world operations: airspace interpretation, advanced mission planning, operational coordination, risk assessment, and decision-making during flight operations.

He is the author of Zona Autorizada and Zona Autorizada 2.0, technical guides designed to help both recreational and professional pilots understand how drone operations are truly conducted in today’s professional environment, covering topics ranging from ENAIRE Drones, NOTAMs, and aviation weather to SORA, PDRA, and operational procedures.

His work is defined by a clear, practical, and directly applicable approach, focused on real operational experience rather than unnecessary theory.
